Rummaging through dusty milk crates crammed in the back of a coat closet, at the ripe old-age of 10, I discovered my parent’s record collection. Staring at each album with curiosity and awe, I tried to understand what I had stumbled upon. From Jethro Tull to Pink Floyd, Mothers Of Invention to The Beatles, I pulled each album from the treasured crates, wiping off the dust, dirt, and neglect. I discovered large discs encapsulated in art and creativity, etched with poetry and instrumental genius. I’m not sure if I knew it then, but it was the unearthing of those records which sparked my insatiable craving for good music. My search continues to discover live music that is fresh, imbued with instrumental and vocal talents, in upstate New York.
Time to put thoughts into full fruition! I've started this music blog to help share all the fantastic live music happening within and surrounding the Capital District, as well as my thoughts and opinions on what's out there and who I think folks should be paying attention to.
Check out what is happening in the upcoming weeks!
